Spherical/Aspherical
For normal lenses, the curvature of the lens is a part of the spherical shape of the lens. For some prescriptions, and particularly higher prescriptions, this may tend to cause distortion around the edges of the lenses and may be uncomfortable to wear.
For your next pair of spectacles, you may want to consider the option of an aspheric lens. Aspheric lenses are much flatter in design, minimising distortion. Aspheric lenses are also thinner and lighter, making them much more comfortable to wear.
*Latest design- Double Aspheric.
Flat design on the front and back of the lens.
-Patients with high prescriptions
-Patients with high astigmatism
Double aspheric lenses will be look thinner, reduce distortion on your peripheral, with better clarity and natural vision.
